Food Connect boxes are distributed to a network of around 70 City Cousins – local families (or sometimes community centres or schools) who volunteer their time and provide a cool, shady area for us to drop off the boxes and extra products. Find your nearest one here. City Cousins can help you identify your box, help you make use of the contents of the box and will give you a call if you forget to pick up! They try to be at home during collection times, but sometimes this will not be possible.
We deliver the boxes to our City Cousins on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and you will be usually be able to pick up your box from 2-8pm. Please note! This differs for each location – your City Cousin will let you know what time the boxes get to their place when you call to introduce yourself.
The City Cousin system helps us keep costs and carbon emissions down – much more so than a home delivery service. It helps neighbours connect with each other and it also means fewer trips to the shops – fantastic!
