Ingredients:
- 2 large ripe Beurre Bosc pears, halved, cored, peeled
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 2 tbsp fresh orange juice
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 20g (1 tbsp) butter, finely chopped
Method:
Preheat oven to 200°C. Cut the pear halves crossways into 5mm thick slices.
Place the cinnamon sticks into 4 small (½ cup) ovenproof dishes. Arrange one sliced pear half over the cinnamon stick in each dish keeping the shape of the pears. Evenly sprinkle the orange juice, nutmeg, brown sugar and chopped butter or margarine over each pear half.
Place the dishes onto a baking tray and bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until pears are tender when tested with a skewer.
